Kings Dominate Blues, Fall Short In Shootout

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings out shot the Winnipeg Blues 46-25 Wednesday night, but it wasn't enough in a 1-0 shootout loss at Credit Union Place.

The Kings controlled most of the game from start to finish, but Winnipeg netminder Jeremy Link was the only reason the Blues were able to come away with the extra point in the affair.

Bryan Landsberger was good on the other side of the ice for the Kings, but ultimately couldn't win the battle in the breakaway contest.

Dauphin's power play had some great pressure throughout the evening but couldn't capitalize, going 0 for 4. The Blues went 0 for 1.

The Kings do grab a single point in the loss, dropping to 14-12-2 on the campaign. With the results Dauphin remains 5th in the MJHL standings, one point behind the Selkirk Steelers who did not play on Wednesday. The Kings are also one point ahead of the Blues who hopped up to 6th overall.

The Kings will close out their three game home stand on Friday when they entertain the Winnipeg Blues at Credit Union Place.

Puck drop for Friday's tilt is 7:30pm!
