DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings will wrap up their season high five game home stand when they take on the Waywayseecappo Wolverines at Credit Union Place this afternoon.
It's been a bit of a hit and miss home stand for the Kings so far with the club going 2-2. However, they are coming off last night's 9-4 triumph over the Winnipeg Freeze.
The next big home stand for the Kings won't come until March when the team plays three straight on home ice. Between the end of October and then it's a pretty balanced schedule.
The Home Hardware Football Toss returns in the first intermission with the pot starting at over $225.00.
Opening face off this afternoon is 4:00pm. It's the first of six Sunday afternoon home games for the Kings.

THIS AFTERNOON'S MATCHUP
KINGS (5-2-0-0)
The Kings look to continue to keep pace in the MJHL's West Division. Following yesterday's win Dauphin is now 2nd, four points behind Northern Manitoba. The Kings have three games in hand on the Blizzard. In fact they have games in hand on everyone in the division except Wayway, who they are even with at seven.
As mentioned it's the final game of a five game home stand for the Kings. After today the club is on the road for four straight next week with a visit to Wayway Tuesday and then a 3-in-3 set around the southern part of the province.
Dauphin's Special Teams had success in Saturday's win over the Freeze. The Kings went 2 for 5 on the Power Play and now sit at 26.9% which is good for 5th in the MJHL. On the Penalty Kill side they were 5 for 5 and now up to 81.8% which is 6th overall.
A three point night has put Cayden Glover atop the Kings in scoring with six goals and two assists for eight points on the season.
WOLVERINES (3-4-0-0)
The Waywayseecappo Wolverines did not see game action Saturday night after falling on home ice to the visiting Selkirk Steelers (6-2) on Friday.
As they open up a home-and-home set with the Kings the Wolverines are looking for some consistency as they sit second to last in the West Division.
Wayway's Special Teams are on the opposite side of the spectrum to start the year. On the Power Play they're 11th in the MJHL at 12.5% but they're ranked 1st on the Penalty Kill with a 95.5% success rate. They've been shorthanded just 22 times this season.
Jaxon Grosdidier is atop the Wolverines in points so far this season. He has five goals and three assists for eight points in seven games played.
