TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

KINGS (31-13-1-1) - 1st in West

It's another key West Division matchup for the Dauphin Kings who will look to spread themselves out from the Blizzard some more tonight. A win by the Kings would put them 11 points ahead of Norman for top spot in the division. A loss and Dauphin will lead by seven points.

It's the final game in a for game home stand for the Kings. After tonight they head away from Credit Union Place for quite some time. They'll kick off another three game in three night weekend Friday in Steinbach. Dauphin's next home game isn't until Saturday March 1st when they face off with the Niverville Nighthawks.

Special Teams were excellent Sunday in Dauphin's win over Niverville. The Kings Power Play enters the night third in the league at 24.5% while their Penalty Kill is moving up, its now at 82.7% and fifth overall.

Cayden Glover and Naaman Hofer will both miss tonight's game for the Kings. Glover leads the team in points with 52 while Hofer is second with 45. Gavin Nemis, who will be in the lineup tonight, has 43 points.

BLIZZARD (27-18-0-1) - 2nd in West

With Dauphin, Winkler, Steinbach and Portage all clinched when it comes to the post season, the next team on the docket should be the Northern Manitoba Blizzard or Niverville Nighthawks. Entering tonight the Blizzard are 14 points up on Waywayseecappo who sit fifth in the division. Norman likely won't clinch a playoff spot this week, but the accomplishment is on the horizon.

The Blizzard are coming off a season high home stand. A stretch that saw them play six straight games in The Pas. They went 4-2 over that span. Now Norman hits the road for seven of their next nine games as the away team.

Norman's Special Teams are mixed. Their Power Play has been decent as of late and sits fifth in the MJHL at 22.1% while their Penalty Kill has dipped and is now eighth at 78.9%.

Miguel Bouvier (28G, 28A) is atop the Blizzard in scoring and third overall in the MJHL with 56 points.
