DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings will look to salvage their three game in three night road swing with two points tonight when they take on the top ranked Winkler Flyers.
Dauphin is coming off a disappointing 4-0 loss in Niverville Saturday night. A game which they had chances to score but just could finish. It's the fourth and final time the Kings and Flyers will meet this regular season. Dauphin has won two of the first three get togethers, but these teams have not faced off since the end of October and obviously lots has changed since then.
Game time tonight from the Winkler ICON Arena is 7:30pm!

TONIGHT'S MATCH UP
KINGS (28-12-1-1) - 1st in West
A loss last night by the Kings coupled with a Northern Manitoba Blizzard win over Neepawa means the Kings are now five points ahead of the Blizzard for top spot in the West Division. Dauphin, however, still has two games in hand.
After tonight's conclusion to the 3-in-3 the Kings will return home for four straight games in Credit Union Place. The schedule will get more intense over the next week as Dauphin plays basically every other night for the next seven days. They'll start on Wednesday with a meeting against the Swan Valley Stampeders.
Coming into tonight the Kings Power Play is ranked 3rd in the MJHL at 24.3%, it didn't really get a chance to get going in Niverville. On the Penalty Kill side Dauphin was good on Saturday going 6 for 6, moving them up to 81% and into 6th overall.
No points last night from any Kings so Cayden Glover (33G, 19A) leads the team in scoring with 52.

FLYERS (33-6-3-1) - 1st in East
Like the Dauphin Kings the Winkler Flyers are also on the back end of three games in three nights. Their schedule has been a little bit easier when it comes to travel and teams they've played with a win over the Freeze on Friday and a shootout loss to Steinbach on Saturday.
Winkler sits atop the league with 70 points. Three points up on Steinbach for first in the East Division. They also have two games in hand on the Pistons. The Flyers will likely finish atop the Division and may very well take top spot in the regular season standings as their schedule favours them very well down the stretch. Of their remaining games, 9/15 of them are against teams outside the playoff picture.
Special Teams for the Flyers are the best in the league. They're first on the Power Play at 27.5% and first on the Penalty Kill at 85.7%.
Brody Beauchemin (21G, 28A) leads the Flyers in scoring with 49 points.
