DAUPHIN, MB - One of the highlights of the winter season is right around the corner, Dauphin Kings Comedy Night on Saturday January 18th!
This is the 6th year the Kings will host their annual evening which features a comedian, a top end roast beef dinner, auction prizes, wine wall and all sorts of other games and entertainment!
"Kings Comedy Night originally began in 2015 and that year the Watson Arts Centre hosted us" says Kings Director of Marketing & Media Relations Christian Laughland. "We quickly discovered that we needed more space, so from 2016 to 2019 we moved to the 11th Avenue Hall in Dauphin. Now, after last year's sell out, we're moving to the 8th Avenue Hall and very excited for another successful evening" he added.
As mentioned, Kings Comedy Night features a number of items, but one of the best and most talked about is the great supper provided ahead of the evening's entertainment. This year will be no exception.
Comedy Night is one of many important fundraisers for the Kings. It usually raises around $10,000 for the hockey club. It's also a key piece to the Kings' "Parent's Weekend" as player parents come to Dauphin from across North America to take part and help out with the event.
"We can't thank our sponsors and supporters enough for helping this event grow over the past five years and we're excited to see everyone out once again" says Laughland.
Single tickets for Comedy Night are $70.00 but if you purchase a table of eight for $500.00 you get your eighth ticket free!
