TONIGHT'S MATCH UP
KINGS (34-15-2-1) - 1st in West
Two weeks remain for the Dauphin Kings 2024-25 MJHL Regular Season. We know Dauphin will have home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs, but where they will finish in the West Division is still a question. A win tonight will go a long way in helping them secure top spot. A regulation win by Dauphin will mean they'll just need one more victory on the season to finish first in the West. A loss and things will get a lot tighter but the Kings would still control their own destiny.
The schedule is identical for the next two weeks for the Kings. Three games, both on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. After tonight they host Portage on Friday and visit Swan Valley on Saturday. Then next week they visit Wayway on Tuesday, visit Neepawa on Friday and conclude their regular season Saturday at Credit Union Place against Wayway.
Dauphin's Special Teams were solid last weekend. So entering play this week their Power Play is at 23.9% which is 3rd overall. On the Penalty Kill side the Kings are at 82.8%, good enough for 5th.
Gavin Nemis comes into the game on a four game goal scoring streak (14G, 36A) and is just two points behind Cayden Glover for the team lead in points (52).

BLIZZARD (32-19-0-1) - 2nd in West
The Northern Manitoba Blizzard can obviously make things a lot more interesting in the race for the top spot in the West Division with a win this evening. Norman would be just four points back of Dauphin with 5 games left in the year if they pick up a victory tonight.
The Blizzard schedule after tonight sees them go to Steinbach on Friday and then Winnipeg to play the Freeze on Saturday to close out action this week. Then next week they end their season with games at home to Virden on Wednesday before a home-and-home set with the Swan Valley Stampeders on Friday and Saturday.
Norman's Special Teams have their Power Play right behind Dauphin's at 22.7% (4th) while their Penalty Kill is a little bit further down sitting in 8th (79.8%).
Miguel Bouvier (35G, 30A) is second in the MJHL with 65 points.
