TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
KINGS (10-2-1-0)
The Kings will look to continue their road success tonight when they meet the Pistons, but it won't be easy. Dauphin's record away from Credit Union Place comes into tonight at 5-2-0-0.
It's a fresh month for the MJHL. Dauphin finished the month of October with a very strong 7-1-1-0 record. Points in eight out of nine games. Now they begin November, a month that will see them play seven of their first nine on the road. After November 23rd the Kings begin a season high seven game home stand that will take them well into December.
Dauphin's Special Teams continue to steadily improve, especially on the Penalty Kill side. On the PK the Kings are now up to 88.4% which has them 3rd in the league. Meanwhile, on the Power Play, the Kings are 6th at 21.3%
Havryil Simchuk (7G, 7A) and Madden Murray (5G, 9A) continue to lead the Kings in scoring coming into tonight. They're both at 14.
PISTONS (10-3-1-0)
The Steinbach Pistons are coming off a disappointing loss to the Neepawa Titans on Wednesday. One of the minor blips in their season so far saw them fall 4-0 in Neepawa. Other than that it's been pretty much business as usual for the Pistons, who usually compete for the top spot in the MJHL's East.
Steinbach finished October with a 6-3-0-0 record and they'll come into November on a three game losing skid with losses to Niverville (2) and Neepawa as mentioned. November is a balanced but busy month for the Pistons. They play 11 contests, six on home ice and five on the road.
The Pistons' Special Teams are, as you would expect, solid so far this season. Their Power Play is ranked 5th in the MJHL at 23.9% while their Penalty Kill is 7th at 84.2%.
Brody Green (8G, 10A) leads the Pistons in scoring with 18 points.
