TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (6-1-0-0)

When you look at the schedule, despite who the Kings have played, you have to be impressed considering the team played five of their first seven games away from home. Regardless of who you play, winning on the road is never easy. Now Dauphin has a chance to really string some wins together with four of their next five at Credit Union Place.

After this home friendly schedule things will become difficult for the Kings again as they'll play eight of 10 on the road stretching until the end of November. Then Dauphin has a season high seven game home stand from November 29th until December 14th.

Special Teams have been improving for the Kings over the last few games. Now Dauphin's Power Play is at 28.6% while their Penalty Kill is 86.4%.

With a goal and six assists Joey Kubas currently leads the Kings in points with seven through seven games.

MONARCHS (1-13-0-0)

The Winnipeg Monarchs are in the midst of a three game road swing which concludes tonight at Credit Union Place. So far they have yet to win on it, falling Friday night in Swan River 6-3. Before that they fell 3-2 to the Nighthawks in Niverville. The season hasn't been very polite to the former Winnipeg Freeze as they struggle to keep pace in a playoff race that is slowly slipping away from them.

The Monarchs will return home tonight and play two of their next three games on home ice.

Special Teams also haven't been super friendly to Winnipeg's newest team. Their Power Play (6.9%) and Penalty Kill (52.4%) are both the worst in the MJHL.

Maxx Hamelin leads the Monarchs in points with three goals and five assists through 14 games.
