TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

KINGS (33-15-2-1) - 1st in West

It's another night where the Kings and Northern Manitoba Blizzard are both in action. Dauphin is looking to stay six points up on Norman with both clubs having seven games left in their seasons. The Blizzard are home to Selkirk this evening.

The Kings will play tonight and then take the next two days off before returning to action on Tuesday. This evening marks the start of a three game home stand for Dauphin. They'll face Norman on Tuesday and then close it out on Friday when the Portage Terriers come to town.

Not much happened on the Special Teams side of things last night in Neepawa. Dauphin finished 0 for 1 on the Power Play. That puts them at 24% and 3rd overall in the MJHL. Meanwhile their Penalty Kill went 2 for 2, sliding them up to 82.8% which is 5th in the league.

After a goal last night Gavin Nemis (13G, 36A) is within three points of passing Cayden Glover (52) for the team lead in scoring.

NIGHTHAWKS (30-17-2-1) - 4th in East

It's been said over the last few weeks, the Niverville Nighthawks are going to make the playoffs. It's only a matter of time. The problem for Niverville right now however, is finding meaning in the games that they are playing. The Nighthawks remain 14 points back of Portage for 3rd in the East Division and 10 points up on Selkirk for the final playoff spot. They only need two more wins or two more Selkirk losses to lock up the spot. One of those two things is going to happen sometime over the next two weeks.

Tonight marks the start of a four game road swing for the Nighthawks. They'll play two at home and two more on the road later this month to close out their schedule.

Niverville's Special Teams remain a bit mixed coming into this evening. Their Penalty Kill is excellent, clicking at a 83.9% rate which is 3rd in the MJHL. Their Power Play, meanwhile, is 7th at 20.7%.

Adam Vigfusson (26G, 30A) leads the Nighthawks in points with 56.
