Kings Beat Blizzard, Coming Home For Game 7

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings scored two goals in the final five minutes to beat the Northern Manitoba Blizzard 2-1 and force a Game 7 for the MJHL Final Thursday night in Dauphin.

The opening two periods were pretty quiet with both teams going scoreless.

In the third Dauphin would fall behind when Marlen Edwards (5) scored one minute in. Dauphin stuck with it and they were rewarded late when Rylan Gage (3) tied it and Naaman Hofer (2) scored the game winner with less than two minutes to play.

Cole Sheffield was again strong for the Kings. He turned away 27 of 28 shots while his team had 27 total.

After a dangerous check in the third period the Kings got the only Power Play of the night and scored on it.

Game 7 happens Thursday night at Credit Union Place. Game time is 7:30pm. Not much more needs to be said than that.
