DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings and Wolverines meet for the final time this season tonight when they face off in Waywayseecappo.

Coming into this evening the Kings hold 2nd in the West, two points up on the Wolverines. Both teams have four games left in their year.

Puck drop in Waywayseecappo is slated for 7:30pm. You can also listen to today's game on 730 CKDM!

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (29-23-2-0) - 2nd in West

With four games left in their season a win tonight would make things much easier on the Kings when it comes to clinching home ice in the opening round of the post season. Dauphin plays Waywayseecappo tonight, Virden Saturday, Northern Manitoba on Tuesday and then they'll conclude 2025-26 on home ice next Saturday against the Winnipeg Blues.

The Kings and Wolverines' season series is basically tied at this point. Dauphin holds the 3-2 edge in wins but if Wayway was to win this evening's game they would most likely take the season series as they'd have the advantage in goal differential. Currently the goal differential sits at 12-11 Kings. Fortunately for the Kings, goal differential is the fourth tie breaker with overall wins during the regular season being the third. Dauphin currently has two more wins than the Wolverines.

Dauphin's Special Teams went 1 for 7 on the Power Play and 4 for 4 on the Penalty Kill Tuesday in Selkirk. The Kings enter tonight with their Power Play at 23% while their Penalty Kill sits at 79%.

Matthew O'Sullivan (23G, 22A) still leads the Kings in points with 45 but Ethan Stewart, who is riding a 10 game point streak (7G, 10A), is just two back with 43 points (18G, 25A).

WOLVERINES (27-23-2-2) - 3rd in West

As mentioned both teams have four games to go in their regular seasons. For the Waywayseecappo Wolverines three of those four are on home ice, where they have been very good, especially later in the season.

Overall the Wolverines are 17-8-1-0 on home ice this season. They'll play Dauphin tonight then get a week off before a 3-in-3 to close out the season. They'll visit Neepawa first next Friday then host Virden and Northern Manitoba on Saturday and Sunday.

Special Teams for the Wolverines have their Power Play at 22% while their Penalty Kill is at 80.9%.

Sebastien Hicks (31G, 40A) leads the Wolverines in scoring with 71 points.
