Kings Announce Mass Signing Of Players
DAUPHIN, MB - With Main Camp in full swing the Dauphin Kings took the opportunity to sign seven players to Letters of Intent Friday morning.
The list includes three local players in Noah Smigelsky (09), Forrest Karlson (09) and Brayden Budolowski (09). All are forwards.
The Kings also signed forwards Tryp Klassen (09) and Max George (09) along with D-man Jaxsten Hansen-Young (09) and goalie Tate Barnaby (09).

As mentioned, the Kings are in the midst of their Main Camp ahead of their short exhibition campaign. The stretch starts Saturday (Sept. 6) when they host the SJHL's Yorkton Terriers. Then Dauphin goes to Yorkton Sunday and Brandon on Tuesday to play the Neepawa Titans. They'll close their exhibition swing on Friday (Sept. 12) when they welcome the Titans to town. Both home exhibition games are 7:00pm starts.

F - NOAH SMIGELSKY
The first of three Parkland Rangers, Noah Smigelsky is from Dauphin.
The forward put up 30 points in 45 outings last season (14G, 16A) and was inside his team's top five in scoring.
Smigelsky stands at 5'8" and weighs in at 133 lbs.
F - FORREST KARLSON
Many know of local Dauphin product Forrest Karlson. The forward took part in 47 games for the Parkland Rangers in 2024-25.
In those affairs Karlson notched eight goals and nine assists for 17 points.
Karlson stands at 5'11" and is 170 lbs.
F - BRAYDEN BUDOLOWSKI
Brayden Budolowski also had a successful season with his hometown Parkland Rangers.
The Dauphin forward grabbed 10 goals and seven assists in 40 outings.
Budolowski came in to Kings Main Camp at 6'1" and 148 lbs.
F - TRYP KLASSEN
Another forward signing a letter of intent with the Kings is Tryp Klassen.
The Glenella product had a very strong year in 2024-25 with the Central Plains Capitals. He tallied 16 goals and 20 assists for 36 points in 48 games. That total put him third on the team in scoring.
Klassen weighs in at 160 lbs and stands at 5'9".
F - MAX GEORGE
The final of the five forwards the Dauphin Kings signed on Friday is Max George.
The Winnipeg native took part in 45 games last season with the Wild. In those games he picked up 11 goals and 12 assists. In 11 playoff games he had three goals and an assist.
George came in to Kings Main Camp standing at 5'9" and 158 lbs.
D - JAXSTEN HANSEN-YOUNG
Cornwallis' Jaxsten Hansen-Young spent his 2024-25 season on the back end with the Southwest Cougars.
The 2009 born D-man grabbed four goals and 14 assists for the Cougars in 48 games. That amount was third in defenceman on the team in the campaign.
Hansen-Young stands at 6'3" and weighs in at 181 lbs.
G - TATE BARNABY
Finally, the Dauphin Kings wrapped up their signings by adding goaltender Tate Barnaby.
Barnaby had a strong season for the Winnipeg Thrashers. He stood tall between the pipes with a 14-7-3-1 record. That included a .924 Save Percentage and a 2.70 Goals Against Average in the regular season. He also added one shut out. In the playoffs he suffered two overtime losses in the games he played, stopping 64 of 69 shots.
