Dauphin, MB - The Dauphin Kings announced this week that they have protected two local players heading into the 2016 MJHL Draft.
Local products Mark Liwiski and Zach Grouette are this year’s selections.
Liwiski is a forward who spent last season with the Parkland Junior Rangers of the Winnipeg Bantam AAA Hockey League. Liwiski, whose brother Andrew is already a part of the organization, had a team leading 91 points during the regular season which included 39 goals in 35 contests.
The other Kings auto protect is goaltender Zach Grouette who went 10-10 with one shut out in 21 regular season outings with the Junior Rangers.
