The Dauphin Kings handed the Steinbach Pistons their first loss of the season on Friday. The team has caught fire offensively and they will look to keep it going on Sunday afternoon.

For the second time in three days, the Kings and Pistons will meet, this time at the T.G. Smith Centre in Steinbach.

Cole Sheffield was the star on Friday as he made 49 saves and his teammates helped him out by scoring five times after giving up the games opening goal.

Dauphin has the chance to earn their first three-game winning streak of the season while Steinbach is looking to get back into the win column. Steinbach hasn’t lost on the road this year going 5-0 at home while Dauphin has struggled on the road, going 1-3-1 so far.

Dauphin’s goals for and goals against differential is getting closer to even as they enter at minus seven heading into Sunday’s contest while Steinbach is a plus 12. Dauphin is just outside of the playoff picture heading into Sunday; however, they could jump into solo second place with two points. Steinbach; meanwhile, are now four points back of the Portage Terriers for first place in the East Division.

You can listen to Sunday’s game on 730CKDM with Darnell Duff and you can also watch it on HockeyTV.
