KINGS ADD WICKS

The Dauphin Kings latest commitment is 6.03, 212lb defenceman Tyler Wicks. Hailing from Orleans, ON, Wicks spent last season playing in the US Junior leagues. Wicks split last season between Syracuse Stampede in the NA3HL and the Lake Tahoe Blue in the WSHL. In 29 games Wicks had one assist and 141 penalty minutes as a seventeen year old.

“Obviously the first thing you notice about Tyler is his size. He’s a big boy.” said Kings Assistant Coach Marc Berry. “Bringing Tyler in will immediately increase the average size of our backend. He’s a guy that takes care of his own end first and takes pride in the defensive side of the game. We want to make sure we keep the opposition honest and he’ll help us accomplish that.”

“I am very excited to have signed with Dauphin.” said Wicks.  “It is great to be back in Canada this year and I can’t wait to have a great year with a great organization.”

Wicks will be in Dauphin for the Kings Main Camp Sept. 3rd.
