Kings Add Two American Forwards

DAUPHIN, MB - American forwards Gage Vierzba and Jack Campion will join the Dauphin Kings for the upcoming season!

Vierzba comes to the Kings from St.Charles, Missouri. A community just north west of St. Louis.

He put up 30 goals and 22 assists in 13 contests with his high school team the Fort Zumwalt East High School Lions. Vierzba also tallied 20 goals and 16 assists in 30 affairs with the Chesterfield Falcons U18 squad in 2019-20.

"I like to put the puck in the net and make plays while making my teammates better. I would consider myself as a power forward for sure" says Vierzba. The forward stands at 6'5 and 195 pounds.

Vierzba is another player that's heard about Dauphin and the great support the team gets from the community. "I heard Dauphin has a great fan base and that's something I've always wanted to be a part of. Also being a part of the community is something I look forward to as well" he says. "When it comes to my career I'm looking to play NCAA hockey at some point and I think Dauphin can help me achieve that goal" Vierzba added.

The other player the Kings added Friday is forward Jack Campion.

Campion hails from Crystal, Minnesota and played last season with the Robbinsdale Armstrong/Cooper High School Falcons where he notched 25 goals and 35 assists for 60 points in just 25 contests. He was also the captain of the team.

"I'd like to think I'm a good leader. I like to be vocal and lead by example" Campion says. "I'm a play maker with a good shot. I believe I have good vision and can see the ice very well. I'm hoping to get up there and make an immediate impact" he adds.

Campion chose Dauphin for a few reasons. "I talked to Andy Kubas (Kings American Scout) and Doug Hedley and they made me feel really welcomed when it came to the organization. They also gave me some great insight into the team. I've seen the arena and the facilities up in Dauphin and they're really nice too."

The Kings would like to welcome both Jack Campion and Gage Vierzba along with their families to Dauphin! Stay tuned for more Kings commitment announcements in the coming days and weeks!
