Kings Add To Board, Dip Financially In 2025-26

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings saw a dip in their finances at the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign.

Sunday night at their Annual General Meeting the team announced a loss of $44,000.00.

Kings Director of Business Operations, Christian Laughland, noted some strong successes with Tractor Lotto making about $130,000.00, up about $20,000.00 from 2024-25. The club's Par 3 Golf Tournament was also solid, making $14,000.00, almost double the year before. This year's Par 3 is happening at Dauphin Lake and Registration is slated to open on July 1st! The Par 3 happens on September 12th. Sponsors are currently being contacted. He added that he expects it to be a great day on the course with both staff and players taking part or volunteering.

External Relations Director Rae Csversko says the Kings Grow/Ag Project is up and running thanks again to the great sponsors and volunteers of the hockey club. The team has once again planted soybeans just north of the City by the Vermillion Sportsplex. This is the second to last year the team has the current land they are using.

Governor, Christian Laughland, noted the MJHL is moving towards tougher standards in 2026-27, adding FloHockey Broadcasts will be improved for the upcoming season. The Kings are looking to add a couple cameras to the broadcast to enhance the viewer's experience. All 13 teams will return to the league for next season.

Scott McCallum, Director of Hockey Operations, said the hunt for a Head Coach & GM continues and should be concluded in the coming weeks.

The Kings also added a number of people to their Board of Directors on Sunday. There were no resignations while the following were added at this year's AGM:
