Kings Add Three To 2025-26 Roster

DAUPHIN, MB - The off season continues for the Dauphin Kings and today the club is announcing three signings.

Carter Unger (07), Shea Chornley (07), William Spencer (08) are signed with Dauphin for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

First, Carter Unger comes from the Pembina Valley Hawks where he notched seven goals and five assists in 43 outings last year. The Winkler product also added a goal in three post season appearances in 2024-25.

"Carter is a power forward that is a big physical presence on the ice. He's also a really great teammate" said Kings Head Coach and General Manager Doug Hedley.

Second is Shea Chornely. The Winnipeg Bruins forward was acquired by the Kings in a trade with Neepawa last season. He comes to Dauphin after a very solid season with his hometown Bruins. In 44 contests Chornley picked up 17 goals and 33 assists for 50 points. He then went on to tally a goal and five assists in eight playoff affairs. Chornley also took part in one game with the Kings last season when they visited the Winkler Flyers in February.

"Shea has good size and speed. He'll be a great addition of the middle for us in 2025-26" added Doug Hedley.

Third is Winnipeg D-man William Spencer. The 2008 born product spent last season with the Rink Hockey Academy's U17 Prep program. He mixed in a goal and five assists on the back end in 31 contests. Spencer also took part in games with the Kings last season. He stepped in for two contests at the end of the season against Neepawa and Waywayseecappo.

"William was great at our Prospects Camp in April. He's got good size, plays with an edge and is a great teammate" noted Hedley.

The Kings would like to welcome William, Shea & Carter along with their family to the organization and look forward to seeing on the ice in September.

NOTES:

The Kings will host their Annual General Meeting Sunday evening (June 22) inside the Aspen Lodge at the Parkland Rec Complex. The meeting begins at 6:00pm and is a chance for everyone to attend and find out where the team is at when it comes to the off season and the upcoming 2025-26 campaign.
