Kings Add Offence

The Dauphin Kings are pleased to announce the signing of 18 year old forward David Brumm.  Brumm, a 6’2” 183 lbs forward will give the Kings an offensive weapon. Brumm hails from Maple Grove, Minnesota.
Brumm played 29 games last season with the Vancouver Giants in the Western Hockey League as a seventeen year old.  Brumm tore up AAA midget in 2013-14 while scoring 50 goals and adding 54 assists while playing with the well-respected Omaha Lancers 16U.

Kings Gm and Head coach Marlin Murray discussed how everything fell into place, “Its’s good to have a strong contact base here.  One of my contacts and good friends called me and asked if we would have interest in David.  Then the recruiting process started.  David had several teams calling him so to know he chose us is a good feeling here in Dauphin.  We know we are getting a good player and quality individual that will help us compete.  He will be given an opportunity to play will some high end skilled players here”.

David comments on coming to the sunshine city, “After talking to many teams, it was evident that my decision to come to Dauphin was the right one.  I have goals I want to achieve and keep developing as a player.  After having many talks with Marlin I feel it’s the best place for me.  I’m excited to put on the Kings jersey”.

The Kings have cut down to 27 bodies and Murray states there is no real game plan on when next cuts will occur, “First and foremost, we need to get healthy.  We have significant veteran players banged up here and we need them to get them back on the ice.  Once that takes place, we will make some decisions here”.

The Kings still have two home exhibition games coming up this week. On Tuesday the Kings will face the Way Way Wolverines and then starting on Friday the Kings will begin a home and home with the Virden Oil Capitals. All home games start at 7:00pm.

The Kings Home Opener goes on September 25th as they welcome the Neepawa Natives to town. Game sponsor Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy has bought out the game and free tickets are available at the Pharmacy! There is also a special draw for a 42″ smart TV for season ticket holders only!

Game time is 7:00pm
