DAUPHIN, MB - As Kings Fall Camp continues to draw near the club announced Tuesday that they have added two more players to the mix.
American forward Carter Eha (00) and American D-man Gavin Wendorf (01) have both committed to the club for the upcoming campaign.
Both players add a good amount of size to the team with Eha coming in at 6'3 and 174 pounds while Wendorf is 6'3 and 194 pounds.
Eha comes to the Kings from Bloomington Minnesota. He spent last year with Bloomington Jefferson High School where he notched 15 goals and 11 assists in 25 contests for the Jaguars.
"Carter is an aggressive kid, has a nice touch and has great wheels. He's going to finish his checks and let guys know he's there. On top of that he's got the ability to not only play that side of the game but also finish and put the puck in the net. I really like his game in its entirety because he can bring both those sides to the ice on a nightly basis" says Kings Northern USA Scout Andy Kubas.
Wendorf was a teammate of Eha's. He hails from Richfield Minnesota and put up five goals and six assists on the back end for the Jaguars in 22 tilts.
"He's a big body kid, sees the ice really well. He reminds me a lot of Ryan Suter with the Minnesota Wild. Makes the right first pass and is always composed. He's not necessarily flashy, but very dependable on the back end. Gavin's a tough guy to get around and can move the puck very efficiently" says Kubas.
Kings Fall Camp kicks off during the final week of August with the team's JoFo Cup Intrasquad Game happening on Sunday September 1st at Credit Union Place!
