Kings add another top prospect

The Dauphin Kings have added another piece to what looks to be an extremely bright future.

One day after announcing Rylan Gage had committed to the organization, Dauphin is now pleased to announce that Rhett Perrin has committed.

From Morden, Rhett was drafted by the Kings, 20th overall in the 2022 MJHL Draft. He posted 26 points in 43 regular season games and another four in five playoff games this season with the Moose Jaw U18 AAA Warriors.

Rhett was in attendance for Dauphin’s regular-season finale in Winkler and had this to say on committing to Dauphin.

“Dauphin has been really good to me during the whole process and it feels like the right fit,” said Perrin. “I’m really excited about the opportunity and I can’t wait to join my new team.”

Perrin says Kings fans can expect a hard-working power forward with an offensive upside.

Doug Hedley had this to say on Perrin.

“Rhett is a great addition to our group,” said Hedley. “He’s a right-handed power forward that will add a high level of compete and hockey IQ to our club.”

Now that Dauphin has signed some of their top prospects over the past few weeks, the team will prepare to open the Turnbull Cup Playoffs against the Swan Valley Stampeders on Friday night.
