Jaquet, Greyeyes and Malchuk make Top 3

Only Lonan Bulger has more points from the back end this season than Colby Jaquet of the Dauphin Kings.

And as Dauphin prepares to hit the ice on Tuesday, Bulger’s lead over Jaquet has shrunk to just two points. Colby has scored 12 times this season to go along with 42 assists and he’s coming off another big weekend.

During a weekend sweep over Neepawa, Colby scored one time and added three assists. He’s this week’s First Star in the Parkland Source for Sports Three Stars of the Week.

Second Star:

Heating up at the right time, Nakodan Greyeyes is taking his game to the next level.

Playing on a line alongside Nick Braun and Kaden Bryant, the trio has become a dominant force together and that was the case over the weekend.

Greyeyes ended up setting up four goals and he added one himself for a five-point weekend.

Nakodan has eight goals and 23 points for Dauphin in just 17 games.

Third Star:

It’s fitting that one day after he was named the MJHL’s Top Defenceman, Parker Malchuk is a star of the week.

An elite defender with a ton of offensive pop, Malchuk continues to be a tremendous leader on and off the ice for Dauphin. From Birtle, Parker scored once and added two assists in the two-game sweep over Neepawa.

He’s now scored eight goals this season to go along with 30 assists.
