DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings announced Tuesday that they have committed two defencemen for the upcoming 2019-20 season.
The club has committed D-men Kadin Ilott (01) and Bryson McDonald (01). Both spend last season with the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League's Kenora Thistles.
Kadin Ilott stands at 5'9, is 155 lbs and comes from Kenora. Last season he scored seven goals and added 18 assists for 25 points from the blueline, almost doubling his points (14) from 2017-18.
"Dauphin sounds like a great program. When Doug came down to talk to me he mentioned a number of things including how the team is on the ice almost every day during the season. It looks like the team is going to be really good next year which is exciting too" says Ilott.
Bryson McDonald is 5'11 and 190 lbs, he hails from Keewatin. In 2018-19 he put up a goal and five assists in 39 contests for the Thistles.
"Throughout the season it seemed like the Kings had a really good program both on and off the ice and in the community. Dauphin also seems like a very welcoming organization" says McDonald.
Listen to Kings Head Coach & GM Doug Hedley speak on both commitments, starting with Ilott. He also gives an update on the off season..
