Game 2: Stampeders vs Kings

=====

Colby Jaquet led the Kings on Saturday as he scored twice in a 5-1 win against Swan Valley, now the two teams go back at it tonight in game two of their best-of-seven series.

After a slow start for the Kings that saw Swan Valley record eight of the first 11 shots in the game, the Kings found their stride and when they did, there was nothing the Stampeders could do.

Carson Cherepak was also rock solid for Dauphin as he made 27 saves. It wasn’t a perfect game for Dauphin as they did give up several two-on-one chances for the Stampeders, but Cherepak weathered the storm and came to play.

Four of five goals for Dauphin in the game were scored by the team’s defence with Owen Wareham and Nolan Wickham also potting a goal.

After tonight’s game, the series switches venues as Swan Valley will host games three and four.
