Former King up for prestigious awards

Former Dauphin King Riese Gaber has been named to the National Collegiate Hockey Conference’s first all-star team.

In his sophomore season, Riese has scored 14 times and he has 21 assists. What makes this season that much more impressive is last year, Gaber had 21 points.

Playing in a bigger role this season, the Gilbert Plains native who also played for the Parkland Rangers program has been a man on a mission and one that isn’t to be stopped.

On top of being named to the first all-star team, Gaber is also a finalist for the conference’s player of the year. The sniper is also a nominee for forward of the year.
