Former King Grabs $10,000 At Par 3

DAUPHIN, MB - Former Dauphin King Jason Shaw dunked an ace at the annual Kings Par 3 Saturday, leading his team to victory at the Dauphin Lake Golf Course.

Shaw, Jerron Kyle, Mike Sparrow & James Stosez finished the day with a score of 48 (-6), an uncharacteristically high score for the event, but acceptable considering the windy conditions.

Shaw's ace came on the 154 yard fourth hole, earning him $10,000. It's the first hole in one at the tournament since 2013 when Dale Murray spun one in on the sixth hole at the Gilbert Plains Country Club.

"Very happy for Jason and the groups that got to witness such a great moment" said Kings Director of Marketing & Media Relations Christian Laughland. "This tournament has such a great atmosphere and although it can be competitive at times, guys are always trying to help each other out with tee shots. Everyone wants everyone to win and when Jason got his ace word spread fast around course. It was awesome how happy everyone was for him" Laughland added.

The Kings would like to thank all their supporters, sponsors as well as the Dauphin Lake Golf Course for their hospitality this year. If you missed out on the action this year make sure you register early next season as the Kings Par 3 looks for its fifth straight sell out!
