Braun Nets Overtime Winner

The Dauphin Kings earned two key points on Thursday night in a thriller against OCN.

Dauphin held a one-goal lead on two different occasions before OCN battled back to force overtime. Ultimately, Dauphin earned the extra point in a 4-3 win.

On the game-winning goal, Klim Georgiev took the puck coast-to-coast and when the puck was left in front, Nick Braun scored his second of the game and it was the game-winner.

“We found a way to stick with it tonight, these were two big points,” said Georgiev after the game. “Sure we made some mistakes but we found a way to get the job done.”

After OCN opened the scoring, Brayden Dube scored his first of the game to tie it and with less than two seconds left, Colby Jaquet gave Dauphin a 2-1 lead heading into the third.

OCN scored two third-period goals compared to Dauphin’s one but they only earned a single point in the end. Dauphin has now won four straight games and will host OCN on Saturday.
