Boudreau takes top spot this week

It was a very tough weekend for the Dauphin Kings as the club dropped a pair of games to the Virden Oil Capitals.

Now the club is in fifth place in the West Division ahead of another crucial game on Wednesday against Swan Valley.

Ahead of that, it’s time for the Parkland Source for Sports Three Stars of the Week.

1st Star –  Blake Boudreau

He’s already scored what will likely go down as the goal of the year in a win against Portage earlier this year and while he didn’t play on Saturday, Blake was solid on Friday.

He has 11 goals and 14 assists in 30 games this year with Dauphin.

2nd Star – Logan Walker

He plays with passion and it doesn’t matter what situation the team is in, Walker gives it his all.

A relentless forechecker, Walker plays a gritty type of game and makes everything tough on his opponents.

He showed off his solid shot on Friday, he just got unlucky that it went off the inside of the post and stayed out of the net.

3rd Star – Alex Senf

Dauphin’s offence wasn’t firing on all cylinders in the two games against the Oil Capitals, but Senf did score one of the team’s goals on Friday.

He originally hit the post but he stuck with it and batted it past Eric Reid. Whether it’s even strength, down a man or on the power play, Senf has shown he can play in any spot.

He has 16 goals and 15 assists this season with Dauphin.
