DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings got one point out of Winnipeg in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Blues Saturday night.

The first two periods were pretty uneventful. Dauphin did control things for the most part and had a goal on the man advantage waved off. Through 40 minutes the Kings were out shooting the Blues 33-18.

The third had the Blues opening the scoring early on, but Ethan Stewart (14) was quick to reply for the Kings, tying things up at one just over a minute later. With under six minutes to go Aidan Malone picked a good time to get his first as a King, scoring off a rebound from a Kinoshita chance in front. The Kings couldn't hold the lead, however, and with 17 seconds left the Blues would tie it up.

Then in overtime Winnipeg would win it.

Special Teams had the Kings going 0 for 3 on the Power Play and 1 for 2 on the Penalty Kill.

Shots were in favour of Dauphin 39-29. Bryson Yaschyshyn suffered the loss in goal.

Dauphin (26-20-2-0) now gets just one day off before resuming play. They'll be in Waywayseecappo on Monday to battle the Wolverines in an afternoon affair slated for 4:00pm!
