Back to business in Winkler

The Winkler Flyers opened up a two-goal lead in the third period last night and the Dauphin Kings were unable to claw back.

Now the team hits the ice on Thursday night as they play game four in their best-of-seven against the Winkler Flyers with Dauphin up two games to one in the first to four.

The Kings had plenty of chances to find the back of the net in front off of some poor turnovers from Winkler; however, they weren’t able to capitalize enough and Dylan Meilun once again made some big saves for the Flyers. On Thursday, Dauphin will look to take a 3-1 series lead.

Another great crowd is expected in Winkler, one day after 1255 fans packed the stands and cheered their team to victory. Meilun won the goaltenders battle on Wednesday and he has this entire saves as far as save percentage coming into the game. His .917 save percentage is just better than Carson Cherepak’s .908.
