Another weekend sweep

The Dauphin Kings wrapped up their season series with the Waywayseecappo Wolverines the same way they started it, with a win.

Two more powerplay goals lifted the Kings on Saturday night to a thrilling 4-3 win at the Waywayseecappo Arena Complex.

Logan Calder opened the scoring with Dauphin on the man advantage just 2:03 in before Kolton Shindle tied up the contest just four minutes later. Kaden Bryant and Nakodan Greyeyes scored back-to-back goals for Dauphin in the second as the Kings took a 3-1 lead.

Kolton Shindle scored his second of the game to bring the contest within one before Dauphin got another from Bryant as he scored his 30th to give Dauphin a 4-2 lead. Shindle completed his hat-trick in the third; however, it wasn’t enough as Dauphin locked down to earn another two points.

Dauphin is now 34-11-1 and they’re nine points ahead of Waywayseecappo for first place in the West Division. With Steinbach’s win, Dauphin is still four back of first in the league, with a game in hand.
