Another weekend between the best in the West

The Dauphin Kings will put their three-game winning streak on the line Friday night when they welcome the Waywayseecappo Wolverines to town.

Dauphin enters Friday’s game with a five-point lead on Waywayseecappo for first place in the West Division and Dauphin is four points behind Steinbach for first place in the league overall.

Friday’s game is the seventh of eight meetings between the two clubs this season and Dauphin has won five of six games so far. They’re coming off a dramatic 3-2 win against the Wolverines last Saturday.

Klim Georgiev won’t play in the game after he was handed an 18 game suspension which won’t see him eligible to return until the eighth game of the playoffs. If you are scoreboard watching around the league this weekend, the Winnipeg Blues and Steinbach Pistons play each other twice this weekend.

Ukrainian Night tickets will be on sale next week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. each day.
