Another Parkland battle

One night after a dominating performance on home ice, the Dauphin Kings hit the road up north.

For the first time this season, the club plays at the Centennial Arena as another round of the Parkland battle is on tap.

From start to finish on Friday, Dauphin dominated, especially on 5-on-5. It was a game in which Carson Cherepak recorded his second shutout.

On Saturday, Dauphin will be going for their 14th win of the season but it sure won’t be easy. A big rebound effort is expected from the Stampeders after they were flat for a majority of Friday’s game.

By the numbers:

Dauphin GF – 66

Swan Valley GF – 61

Dauphin GA – 37

Swan Valley GA – 68

Dauphin PP – 20-for-68 – 29.4%

Swan Valley PP – 17-for-70 – 24.3%

You can catch Saturday’s game on HockeyTV as well as on 730CKDM with Darnell Duff. The puck drops at 7:00 p.m.
