GILBERT PLAINS, MB – There were no hole-in-ones but there was definitely a whole lot fun Saturday at the Gilbert Plains Country Club as the Dauphin Kings Par 3 took place.
Once again the event was sold out with 160 golfers spending the day out on the course.
Weather conditions early on didn’t look great but as the day moved forward the sun came out and golfers only had the wind to worry about when teeing up.
The winners of the Par 54 tournament this year were Barry McKay, Ryan Horn, Scott Lynxleg and Cecil Houle! They ended their tournament with a 44 (-10).
The next closest was the Team Larry Johnston, they fired a 48 (-6). Taking third place on a count-back was Team Brent Stykalo with a 49 (-5).
The Kings would like to thank everyone for attending, Scott McCallum and the Gilbert Plains Country Club for doing a great job of hosting the tournament, all the ladies at the restaurant for a great post game meal and Lindsey Kyle for organizing the event!
We’d also like to thank all our generous sponsors and the individuals and sponsors who donated to the Kings ’50 for 50′ campaign, including the Murray, Fillion and Hanke families who donated $650.00 to the cause!
