DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings kick off a busy week with a visit to Swan River to play their Parkland rivals for the first time this season this afternoon.
Dauphin is coming off a successful weekend where they grabbed three of a possible four points and remain first in the MJHL's West Division.
The Stampeders, meanwhile, are on the opposite end. They're at the bottom of the West and looking for their first win since the start of the month 13 days ago.
Opening face off from Swan River's Centennial Arena is 12:30pm. It's the first of two meetings this week between these two teams. They'll face off in Dauphin on Saturday.

TODAY'S MATCH UP
KINGS (13-4-1-0)
Things pick up a little bit this week before slowing down for the Kings over the next two weeks. After this week's schedule Dauphin will play four games in two weeks with three of them coming on the road.
Dauphin will try to extend their current point streak to eight games this afternoon. Their only blemish on that stretch was that 4-3 OT loss to the Steinbach Pistons on Friday last week.
Special Teams slowed a little bit for the Kings last weekend. The results moved their Power Play to 25.3% which is 3rd in the MJHL while their Penalty Kill now at 86.6%, that's 2nd overall behind Niverville.
Cayden Glover (15G, 8A) and Naaman Hofer (3G, 20A) are tied for the Kings lead in points with 23.
STAMPEDERS (2-13-2-1)
The Swan Valley Stampeders are almost at the point where they're out of the playoff mix completely and we're just into the middle of November. If the Stampeders want to get back into the conversation of post season they'll need to string together some wins soon.
So far in the month of November the Stampeders are 1-2-0-1 with losses in three straight. After today they'll play three of their next four on the road including that game in Dauphin on Saturday against the Kings.
Swan Valley's Power Play is not horrible considering the circumstances. They're 8th in the MJHL at 17.3%. Their Penalty Kill on the other hand is struggling. It's the worst in the league at 71.1%.
Landen Gulutzan (7G, 14A) is atop the Stampeders in points with 21.
