Back in first

The Dauphin Kings are back in solo possession of first place in the West Division.

A tremendous defensive effort paired with some timely goals and a shutout performance from Keaton Woolsey pushed Dauphin to a 3-0 win over Swan Valley.

After no goals were scored in the first, Nakodan Greyeyes found the back of the net twice in the second. That set the stage for Logan Calder, who scored his first goal as a King and 20th of the season late in the third period.

The win gives Dauphin their 26th win of the season and they’re now one point ahead of Waywayseecappo. They also move 13 points ahead of the Stampeders in the division.

It was Woolsey’s second shutout of the season, he made 22 saves in the win.

It was Greyeyes’ first multi goal game since returning to the team.

Next up for the team is a four-game set with OCN, starting Friday in Dauphin.
