Marlin Murray
- Head Coach and General Manager

Marlin Murray of Melita, MB is once again behind the Kings bench.  Marlin took over the coaching duties in November of 2006 and guided the Kings to a Sherwood Division Title.  Following that success, he was rewarded with a new contract which will keep him in Kings country through the 2009/10 season.

Marlin played three years of junior hockey in the SJHL with the Nipawin Hawks, where he recorded 68 goals and 138 assists for 206 points in 169 games.  He was always well respected by his teammates and a pure leader, wearing a letter in both of his final two seasons.  A feisty competitor, 'Muzz' took home awards as Hardest Worker, Most Dedicated and Best Defensive Forward while in Nipawin.

He continued his hockey career at university, playing three seasons with the Brandon Bobcats and one season with the Regina Cougars in the CIS league.  His efforts were recognized by Hockey Canada, as he earned a tryout with Team Canada at the National level.

This will be Marlin's seventh year with the Pride, three as an Assistant Coach before taking over as the Head Coach.  He's also coached in several league All-Star and Prospect games, and did so once again in 2009, with the Kings in the midst of another great season.

Muzz brings a hardworking and dedicated attitude to our organization and is very passionate about his players.  Very well liked by his peers and players alike, Muzz is approachable and his office door is always open.  The Kings are happy to have one of the youngest and brightest hockey minds in Junior A leading the way.

Marlin resides in Dauphin with his wife Kirby.

Scott McCallum - Assistant Coach

Scott was born and raised in Dauphin and played all of his minor hockey in the community.  As a promising young defenceman, he was drafted second overall by the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League, which led him west to pursue his hockey career.

Scott spent 4 years in the WHL with the Tri-City Americans and Brandon Wheat Kings, where he was drafted in the fourth round by the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League.

As a 20 year old Scott chose to return back home to play his final season of junior hockey with his hometown Dauphin Kings.  He later went on to play several years of pro hockey before hanging up the skates.  He now resides in Dauphin with his wife Lindsey and their son Cash and spends his summers on the links as a golf pro in the area.

Steve Bray - Goaltender Coach

Steve is a born and bred Manitoba goaltender from the small town of Birtle.  He's a member of the Dauphin Kings alumni, with experience playing with both the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL) and Brandon Bobcats (CIAU).

Once his playing days were behind him, Steve's job with Manitoba Highways brought him back to Dauphin with his wife Rebecca and their two sons Nicolas (7) and Mathieu (4).

Steve has coached bantam, midget, and AAA midget.  It was during this time that Steve contributed to several goaltenders' junior, university and professional careers.  He draws on his multi-sport knowledge with National Level players and coaches.

Steve will develop the goaltenders' skill level, off-ice training, team play and mental focus for a well-rounded junior A experience and beyond.
