Dauphin, MB - Your Dauphin Kings are very excited to welcome nine new members to the organization following the 2010 MJHL Draft.  All 1995 born players (15 year olds) from Manitoba were eligible in this year's draft.

After a special 2009/10 season which saw the Kings go 50-11-1 during the regular season, Dauphin would have the final pick (11th overall) of the first round.  The Kings' coaching staff and scouting staff was thrilled to take Carter Zalluski with their first pick.

Please find a complete list of all nine of the newest members of the Kings below...

Round 1 (11th overall)

F Carter Zalluski - 6'2  205 lbs - Alonsa, MB

Played with the Winnipeg Sharks (AAA) last season.

"We were very excited that Carter was available for our first pick as we felt Carter was a top three player in this year's MJHL Draft.  He has the size to be a power forward and skates very well for a big body player.  He has very good puck skills and has the ability to develop into a dominant player in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League," says Kings' Head Scout & Director of Player Development Mark Johnston.

Round 2 (22nd overall)

F Cameron Whyte - 5'7  136 lbs - Virden, MB

Played with the Virden Bantams last season.

"Cameron was the captain of the Virden Rams last season.  He is a smaller, skilled player who is a very good skater.  He plays with his head up and is extremely smart with the puck.  Cameron sees the ice well and is capable of being a very good play maker," explains Kings' scout Craig 'Chevy' Anderson.

Round 3 (26th overall)

F Derek Mulvena - 5'8  155 lbs - Ashern, MB

Played with the Interlake Bantam AAA last season.

"Competitor.  Derek works hard every shift and can play with an edge.  We like both his grit and skill set.  Derek will look good in a Kings uniform in the future," states long time Kings' scout Gary Cassidy.

Round 3 (33rd overall)

D Brady Chyzyk - 5'9  150 lbs - Virden, MB

Played with the Virden Bantams last season.

"Brady was someone we targeted in the draft.  He is an all around player who can play both forward and defence.  We really like him as a defencemen, as he is very mobile and is capable of carrying the puck up the ice.  We have signed his brother Bryn for the upcoming season and it's not out of the question for both brothers to play together for the Kings at some point," says Kings' Head Coach & G.M. Marlin Murray.

Round 7 (71st overall)

F Corey Haverstick - 5'8  135 lbs - Winnipeg, MB

Played with the Winnipeg Monarchs (AAA) last season.

"While not an overly big player, Corey has very good hands and knows how to finish.  He had one of the hardest shots in the Winnipeg AAA league last season.  Corey will add a lot of offensive punch to our line-up in the future," says Kings' scout Daryl Anning.

Round 8 (88th overall)

F Tyler Garrioch - 5'8  152 lbs - Winnipeg, MB

Played with the Winnipeg Warriors (AAA) last season.

"Tyler is comfortable playing both forward and defence.  He plays a high energy style of game, as he has a great work ethic and competes extremely hard.  His style of play could allow him to become a fan favorite," states Kings' scout Daryl Anning.

Round 9 (92nd overall)

D Joel Makara - 6'0  165 lbs - St. Andrews, MB

Played with the Winnipeg Hawks (AAA) last season.

"Joel is a player who developed very well as the season went on.  His puck skills allowed him to play on the power play and his size gives him a big presence.  He would be classified as more of a stay at home defenceman," says Kings' scout Craig 'Chevy' Anderson.

Round 9 (99th overall)

G Adam Vander Linden - 5'11  165 lbs - Winnipeg, MB

Played with the Pembina Trails Twins (AA) last season.

"Adam led his league in goals against average (1.86) last season.  He is a big, athletic goaltender who we watched throughout the season.  We like his on-ice demeanour and expect him to continue to develop," explains Kings' Head Scout & Director of Player Development Mark Johnston.

Round 10 (110th overall)

D Christopher Watts - 6'3  185 lbs - Dauphin, MB

Played with the Dauphin Kings Bantam AA last season.

"Christopher is a big, strong defenceman who does a good job of looking after his own end.  He was a leader on his team, he has a very hard shot from the point and put up very good numbers last season," says Kings' Assistant Coach & Assistant G.M. David Anning.

"The Kings would like to welcome Carter, Cameron, Derek, Brady, Corey, Tyler, Joel, Adam and Christopher to the Kings organization.  We are thrilled that we were able to draft nine talented players and nine quality individuals.  We look forward to seeing all nine players in Dauphin in the future," says Kings' Head Coach & G.M. Marlin Murray.
